heaven is beautiful

I remember being at home with my mother cooking breakfast in the mornings and, the smell of bacon or sausage and eggs, toast and grits with cheese waking me up with those yummy smells. I remember her working in the kitchen like and artist creating the most wonderful dinners in the world. She would prepare collard greens, corn bread, macoroni and cheese roastbeef with red potatoes; with a peach cobbler, apple pie or a cake for desert that would smell up the whole kitchen. I remember the warmth of her touch and her gracious smile, as we all sat down to pray and thank God for our meal. I remember the compassion and mercy she showed me when I did something morally or even physically wrong. I remember her always forgiving me and never forsaking me. I remeber her voice that encouraged never discouraging, always complimenting never dishonoring. I remember her beautiful touch, her soft, strong and gentle hands that guided me when I was lost or confused. I remember, her love was forever there for me to embrace. I could always dwell in the saftey of her bossums and rest with the assurance that I was loved. I remember when I would go out side to run and play, then stumble or trip and fall down. She was always there to pick me up and brush me off; Never leaving me and always telling me or showing me how much she loved me. I remember the constant encouragement and discipline that she gave me so that I would strive, thrive, and fly, with out hesitation or self doubt. She dwelled in me, and I sought refuge in her. As long as I trusted and obeyed her instructions, security and protection remained forever. There is peace and serenity at home. I now understand the concept of heaven, it's beautiful. I believe heaven is like being at home with so many comforting memories and a mercyful and grace giving parental figure thats always there; comforting me and loving me with agapy love. Heaven is beautiful I remember.!
